Important information on ASM lodging

Given the numerous questions regarding the procedure for reserving housing at the YMCA of the Rockies, please note the following before making your reservations. If you have any questions about the following, address them to me, not the YMCA.

1. The YMCA has agreed not to charge credit cards until each person's arrival at the meeting. Upon check in, you will be charged the full amount for your stay. You will still need to fill out the registration form and provide a credit card number to hold your reservation. However, your card will not be charged until arrival when you will need to pay your bill in full.

2. Those people who have already registered and had charges made to their cards will have those charges reversed. This may take some time, so be patient.

3. The YMCA accepts Purchase Orders for groups if you choose to go that route. Your group will still have to fill out the registration form and indicate that you are paying with a Purchase Order. You will also have to provide a credit card to secure the group reservation, but the card will not be charged.

4. If you are an employee of a tax exempt institution and paying with a credit card or purchase order from that institution, you can avoid paying taxes by providing the tax exempt number of the institution in the appropriate place on the registration form. Each form submitted must have this number.

5. If you have special requests regarding your registration, describe
them in the comment field on your registration form. Please be reasonable. We will get back to you if we can't honor your requests.

6. The YMCA is doing their best to accommodate a large, diverse group of individuals and institutions. We will continue to work with them to honor all reasonable requests. Thanks in advance for being patient while we work the kinks out of the system.
