We propose a brain storming workgroup to take the next step in coordinating phenology monitoring and research across the LTER Network. The inspiration for this working group proposal has its roots in the 2006 ASM working group, the 2007 Sevilleta Workshop and the 2007 AGU Fall Meeting (see working group material). The paper by Henebry et al. 2007, &quot;A White Paper on Phenology across LTER&quot;,&nbsp; provides overview, background, and potential starting points for this session.</p> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-wg-dates"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="field-label-inline-first"> Preferred Dates:&nbsp;</div> Sept. 15 </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-wg-sessions"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="field-label-inline-first"> Working Group Duration:&nbsp;</div> 2 </div> </div> </div> <fieldset class="fieldgroup group-wg-session-info"><legend>Session Info</legend><div class="field field-type-nodereference field-field-wg-session"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="field-label-inline-first"> Session(s):&nbsp;</div> <a href="/working-group-session-3">Working Group Session 3</a> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-wg-room"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="field-label-inline-first"> Room:&nbsp;</div> Longs Peak Keyhole </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> <fieldset class="fieldgroup group-wg-materials"><legend>Working Group Materials</legend><div class="field field-type-link field-field-wg-related-links"> <div class="field-label">Related Links:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <a href="http://globalmonitoring.sdstate.edu/LTER-phenology">Phenology across LTER </a> </div> <div class="field-item even"> <a href="http://globalmonitoring.sdstate.edu/LTER-phenology/LTER_Phenology_White_Paper.pdf">A White Paper on Phenology across LTER</a> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-wg-materiels"> <div class="field-label">Related materiels:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="filefield-file"><img class="filefield-icon field-icon-application-msword" alt="application/msword icon" src="http://asm2009.lternet.edu/sites/all/modules/filefield/icons/x-office-document.png" /><a href="http://asm2009.lternet.edu/sites/asm2009.lternet.edu/files/sites/asm.lternet.edu/files/workingroups/docs/Coordinating%20Phenology%20Monitoring%20and%20Research%20Across%20the%20LTER%20Network/MOU_v.9.26.08.doc" type="application/msword; length=52736">MOU_v.9.26.08.doc</a></div> </div> <div class="field-item even"> <div class="filefield-file"><img class="filefield-icon field-icon-application-pdf" alt="application/pdf icon" src="http://asm2009.lternet.edu/sites/all/modules/filefield/icons/application-pdf.png" /><a href="http://asm2009.lternet.edu/sites/asm2009.lternet.edu/files/sites/asm.lternet.edu/files/workingroups/docs/Coordinating%20Phenology%20Monitoring%20and%20Research%20Across%20the%20LTER%20Network/Weltzin%20LTER%20ASM%202009%20working%20group.pdf" type="application/pdf; length=3002401">Weltzin LTER ASM 2009 working group.pdf</a></div> </div> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="filefield-file"><img class="filefield-icon field-icon-application-vnd-ms-powerpoint" alt="application/vnd.ms-powerpoint icon" src="http://asm2009.lternet.edu/sites/all/modules/filefield/icons/x-office-presentation.png" /><a href="http://asm2009.lternet.edu/sites/asm2009.lternet.edu/files/sites/asm.lternet.edu/files/workingroups/docs/Coordinating%20Phenology%20Monitoring%20and%20Research%20Across%20the%20LTER%20Network/LTER%20ASM%202009%20Poster.ppt" type="application/vnd.ms-powerpoint; length=8293888">LTER ASM 2009 Poster.ppt</a></div> </div> <div class="field-item even"> <div class="filefield-file"><img class="filefield-icon field-icon-application-msword" alt="application/msword icon" src="http://asm2009.lternet.edu/sites/all/modules/filefield/icons/x-office-document.png" /><a href="http://asm2009.lternet.edu/sites/asm2009.lternet.edu/files/sites/asm.lternet.edu/files/workingroups/docs/Coordinating%20Phenology%20Monitoring%20and%20Research%20Across%20the%20LTER%20Network/Phenology%20Working%20Group%20Report.doc" type="application/msword; length=84992">Phenology Working Group Report.doc</a></div> </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> <p><a href="http://asm2009.lternet.edu/2009/workgroups/coordinating-phenology-monitoring-and-research-across-lter-network" target="_blank">read more</a></p> Biology Brain storming Climatology Community Ecology Ecological Complexity Ecosystem Ecology Plant Ecology Thu, 07 May 2009 21:30:21 +0000 Mark Losleben 34 at http://asm2009.lternet.edu
